"All eleven-year-old Alex Petroski wants is to launch his golden iPod into space. With a series of audio recordings, he'll show other life-forms what life on Earth–his Earth–is really like. But for a bit with a long-dead dad, a troubled mom, and a mostly not-around brother, Alex struggles with the big questions: 'Where do I come from? Who's out there?' And above all, 'How can I be brave?' Determined to find answers, Alex sets out on an extraordinary road trip with his dog, Carl Sagan–named after Alex's hero, the real-life astronomer. But his destination keeps changing. And the lost, lost, remarkable people he meets along the way can only partially prepare him for the secrets he'll uncover–secrets that will turn his universe upside down." – "See You In The Cosmos" by Jack Cheng. ----------------------- I recently read the book "See You In The Cosmos" by Jack Cheng. The book is absolutely amazing and I love how it instead of the "classic" writing style, does it in a unique way! I highly recommend the book! It is for the grades: 4th grade to 8th grade (though I believe anyone could really enjoy it.) The book is super sweet and makes you see a new view of the world! Important!! It only a mention of one thing although.) -Mental health issues such as schizophrenia -Mentions of past death (Simply described as a car accident.) -References to swearing though no language is actually used -Mentions of an accident (Not explicit, mainly in chapters "New Recording 36", "New Recording 37" & "New Recording 38." -Mentions of substance use like alcohol
