(This is pretty long for an average description, so if you don't want to read it, just scroll to the ★'s and last paragraph) Look guys, I know people are waiting for the next part of SS to come out. I cannot say when though, because I don't know. Okay, so I'm one of the more...lenient writers. I know some people (on different writing websites) that will just blow up if you rush them. I completely understand them. If you're a writer, you'll know that writing a good story is difficult. With 1 hour I can make a parody of Goldilocks but it takes me at least 48 hours to write ONE stupid chapter of SS. Without breaks. The same goes with animators as well. And animations take MUCH more planning and work. Then, there's the editing, and then MORE editing. I don't want sympathy, or pity, I just want *some* people to know that I'm not a machine. I can't just crank out parts every couple hours. Most of you know that I actually have a life outside of Scratch. Homework, school, family. And don't get me wrong, I DO appreciate that you care about SS, just, don't get too caught up. If you want to remind me to write SS, here's what you should do: ★★★★★ If I haven't posted another chapter of SS in a week, go to my profile and /calmly/ ask me if I'm writing. I'll respond to you, and start writing it once I have the time. See? As simple as that. Now, I know most of you know that. It's basic etiquette, surely your school must've taught you. And, if you're constantly asking me every few days if I'm releasing SS, then, I get really tired of it, you know what I mean? And if I don't respond to your comment, it's either nighttime, or I'm just not on scratch. Don't ask me, 'Are you there? Answer me!' It's just plain rude. I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm saying this because if you go to an interview (believe me, I've went through several interviews) and just say to your interviewer, 'Why didn't you answer my emails? I specifically asked for the interview to be on FRIDAY!" then you might as well not apply for that job in the first place. Even though it might have been their fault, you didn't have to be SO rude to them. Imagine this: You take your time on a project, and then loads of people ask you to hurry up. You hurry up, and make mistakes. They point out your mistakes, and say that you should've taken your time. You take your time, and they ask you to hurry up. Then it repeats and repeats and repeats. You see what I mean? I'm not asking for sympathy, okay? I'm not asking for pity, or for 'sorry's or anything. I just want you to know that behind this screen is a REAL teenager with a REAL life. I'm already working towards my dream college, and am continuing to strive in that path, even though it's still years away. If I'm constantly having to choose between satisfying the people who constantly ask me if SS is out, or getting my A+ in Maths, where would that leave me? I know that I might be over-reacting a bit, or maybe I'm just too soft, but this is genuinely the way I feel. Trust me, I won't abandon SS. Thanks for reading this, -Rose
I wrote this yesterday, but I was conflicted on whether it'd be a good idea. I was thinking that someone might get offended by it, or just call me a 'baby' and a 'whiner.' This project was just to tell you that I'm a real person, and you can't just expect me to pump out content every couple days. I know most of you know this, but I just want to...vent this all out, you know? One of the reason's why the first parts of SS were out so quickly was because I had already prewritten them, I know one person is gonna be like: 'No, you're just making excuses, the first few parts of SS were out so quickly! I bet you're just lazing off!' or they're just gonna think it.
