Happy Year of the Tiger! (The clock already struck midnight in China so I'm sharing this project today!) Click on the Tiger to 拜年 (bai4 nian2, a traditional Chinese New Year greeting)! Read more about my inspiration for the illustration below: During Chinese New Year, one way to spread cheer is to use lucky phrases to wish your loved ones and friends a Happy New Year! The lucky phrase I've included in this illustration is a pun on the phrase 五福临门 (Five Lucks arrive at your door). I've replaced the character for five ,"五," with the character for tiger, "虎," because the characters sound very similar and it's the Year of the Tiger. Wishing you and yours, a healthy, prosperous, and joyful New Year!
