One if my pet peeves is when people use improper grammar, so I will give y'all a quick lesson on some commonly misused words. 1. Your/you're Your means: belonging to or associated with the person or people that the speaker is addressing. So when someone says "your weird" it technically means "a weird belonging to you" which doesn't make any sense You're is a contraction for "you are" so if someone says "I like you're art" they are saying "I like you are art" 2. There/they're/their There refers to a place or position, as in "that house over there". If someone says "there comic is cool" it makes zero sense They're is a contraction for they are so if someone says "check out they're project" it means "check out they are project" which, again makes zero sense. What they should say is "check out their project" Their is a possessive meaning belonging to them. It is used when referring to something belonging to multiple people or someone who goes with they/them pronouns. "Their cool" means a cool belonging to them. What's a cool? 3. Could of Never ever say "could of". The correct phrase is "could have" or could've if you prefer to use contractions.or if you want to be even shorter, use coulda although that's going a bout far.
