If you have different opinions that's totally cool! I'd love to hear them in the comments. Just please be respectful. Thanks! Read On! ====================================== -Encanto needs a series like Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure to give all of the characters more screentime - I don't think a sequel is a good idea. There would need to be another source of drama/tension and it would either feel like a repeat or have an unnecessary villain. - The lighting and colors are stunning! Especially during Abuela's backstory. -"Waiting For A Miracle" is beautifully written and the orchestra is lovely, but Stephanie Beatrix's voice sounds very strained in the chorus and bridge and no one seems to comment on it. (Update: I saw a video by Hannah Bayles (vocal coach) and she said it is resistance not tension. It still sounds wrong/painful to my ears though) - The voice acting is so good! In some movies the emotions feel forced and out of place but everything is so on point in this movie! - "All Of You" is an unnecessary song. I think the ending could have been much more powerful if there was background music but no singing. I think it could be more nuanced. Eg: "Everyone's coming to help" "Plants need sunshine and fertilizer" "Our house needs a doorknob" don't need to be sung. Just let the actions play out. - The look on Luisa's face and the vulnerability in her voice in Surface Pressure at 2 1/2 minutes in is *Chef's Kiss* - Bruno was seen as some awful person because his gift predicted the future. He left to protect the family. Everyone spoke horribly about him after he left. And yet he apologizes when he comes back!?! They should be apologizing to him! That ending is really glossed over. - Isabella's song is better in Spanish -The background music after Antonio's gift is so good! - We don't Talk about Bruno is amazing! But you already knew that. Dolores and Camilo sing my personal favorite parts. I love how poetic the lyrics to "Dos Oruguitas" are ======================================== If you just got through all that, I applaud you. What are your thought on Encanto that no one seems to talk about? Do you agree with any of my thoughts or do you have a different opinion? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for watching!
