I just wanted to talk about something a bit personal. Some 7th graders in my school started this "group chat" thing on the school email. Now here's the thing... We have a term of use policy thingy for the school computers, and that's to only use the computer for SCHOOL RELATED THINGS ONLY! Well, except if the teacher gives permission to play games or if you have nothing to do at home... but this one was different. A kid sent an email thread to THE ENTIRE SCHOOL! Everyone was talking a bit immaturely and saying lotta stuff that are either offensive, inappropriate, or generally just rude. Later then, a teacher got this email. She sent a response into the chat to tell everyone to delete this thread and forget about it basically. This is what she actually said: "This thread was sent to everyone by a student at our school and should NOT continue. Please delete this thread and refrain from any further commentary. This has already been turned over to the school administration, so they now have access as well. Please refocus on your learning and have a wonderful rest of the day." A true act of an amazing teacher. I'm glad she got involved in this. It's actually disappointing how my school is super immature and literally cannot handle anything on their own, they act like they're not even their age sometimes.
