Hello hello, whoever you are. I don’t really know you and you probably don’t really know me either, but here we are. Me in my bed writing this and you…wherever you are reading this. Why am i sharing this with you? I really don’t know. I ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶d̶ got to write a story about ancient Eygpt since that’s what we’re learning in class right now and when it comes to writing stories, i normally don’t put much detail in them. But since it was a school project, I spent an hour adding details. (well actually 20 minutes adding details and 40 minutes doodling in my notebook but we’re not going to talk about that) Ngl, i feel proud of this. Out of all the stories i’ve wrote, this would probably be the second-best, the first best being a story that I wrote with @cuppyjo Now enough of me talking, on to the story :> – – – – – – – – – I stared at the gigantic stack of homework sitting on my pale purple desk. The table lamps beside me flickered for a brief moment, making the whole room go black for a few seconds. A small gust of wind came through the open window on my left and caused the pages of my social studies textbook to flip slowly. I looked outside and to my surprise, it was pitch black. I couldn’t even see my mother’s roses, which were right outside my window and could be seen almost 24/7. Normally, the moonlight would have filled the streets, but today, the thick clouds soaked in the moonbeams while we got nothing. There wasn’t even a small spot where the light could shine through for a bit. A bigger gust of wind followed the smaller one causing the notes on my bedside table notes to fly everywhere. I quickly jumped off my chair, nearly knocking over my desk, and slammed the window closed. The curtains immediately stopped swaying and I looked around the room to see the damage that the wind had done. The notes that used to be in a neat stack were now scattered everywhere. I sighed and began to pick a piece of paper from my bed, then another one on my bedside, going around the small room until I was finished picking up all of my notes. I collapsed on my chair, placing the notes in a neat stack near the textbooks that I had for homework I yawned and quickly glanced at the moon clock on my desk. 10:39 it flashed in its strange purple glow. Sighing again, I turned to face my desk. On the table, the social study textbook was still open to a page and I had a brief flashback of the wind flipping through the pages. Oddly, the page that the wind had flipped to was the beginning of one of the chapters I had to read for homework. Grabbing the navy blue water bottle on my desk, I took a sip and after placing it next to the textbook, I started reading the chapter. 'Government officials belonged to the highest class on Egypt’s social pyramid, just after the pharaoh. Their job was to assist the pharaoh in his or her role as supreme ruler of…' By the time I finished, it was 11:17 and I had learned a lot about ancient Egyptian’s social pyramid. Ancient Eygtain’s people sounded interesting but they wouldn’t help me get more energy. My eyes threatened to close and I suddenly found myself resting my head on my desk. 'Alright.' I told myself just as I started to close my eyes. 'Just a quick nap. I’ll wake up in 5 minutes to do the rest of my homework.' But as hard as I tried, sleep overcame me and the light of the table lamps dimmed into a pitch black. I woke up to cold water dousing my face instead of the normal alarm and light filled my vision. Suddenly remember that I still hadn’t done my homework, my eyes flew open. Panicking, my head jolted upwards, causing me to crash into wooden logs. As I yelped, I heard a boy snicker behind me. “Kat, you-” he broke off laughing even harder. I turned around to look at whoever was speaking. A boy with brown hair and dark green eyes stared at me, snickering. But it wasn’t the boy who made me faint, it was my surrounding. When I took a look at the boy, I caught a glimpse of where I was. But I wasn’t in my bedroom. Or even anywhere in my house. My surrounding came from a picture in my social studies textbook. I was in ancient Egypt. – – – – – – – – – Annnd we’re done thank goodness Welp thanks for reading this! Enjoy the rest of the day/night.
