Backstory to be made Click to go to next Merry Christmas!! I can't believe it's finally that time of year again <3 So to celebrate, I decided to host a holiday-themed DTA! ------------------ What's a DTA? ------------------ A DTA (Draw To Adopt) is a contest where you choose a character that you would like to keep, and you enter for it by drawing/animating it, etc. and when the contest ends, the host chooses a winner for each character. The winner gets to keep the character they won :D ------------------ Rules! (Please read these before entering) ------------------ There's a few simple rules before you can start ^^ 1 - You can enter for as many characters, but only win one. 2 - Don't be a sore loser if you don't win, I'll give shoutouts in the Results project to everybody who entered. <3 3 - There's no codeword to enter, have fun ^^ 4 - If you win, please don't dump away the characters. They took some time to design, and I really don't want to see them wasted :( 5 - ALL art MUST be yours. I do not tolerate stealing. 6 - Please be respectful, don't make fun of anyones' art. <3 7 - JuSt because you're my friend, you don't get an advantage because of that lol sorry 8 - Have fun!!! :D ------------------ Tips for Winning ------------------ Heres a few tips that may give you a higher chance of winning the DTA ^^ - Shading/lighting, etc. I love seeing people put work into their art, and shading and lighting gives it so much depth :D however, it is not required. Draw however you want ^^ - Bios/backstories Backstories are just SO fun to read, and it shows that you really have a use for the character. This may give you a chance in winning :) - Multiple art pieces Again, not required, but I like when people put hard work into their entries (Its ok if you can only get in one art piece, I don't mind ^^) - AMVs/PMVs ok, wow. I love AMVs and PMVs, they're just so cool :o You don't have to do these, but making one would probably increase your winning chance. ------------------ QnA ------------------ Hi there! Maybe there's some questions you want to ask, so I'll answer some common ones here :) - - - - - - - Q: When will the DTA end? A: I'm going to wait until there's at least two entries for each character, so I can judge it fairly ^^ Q: Do I need a codeword? A: Nope! Like I said in the rules, you can enter whenever you want ^^ Q: Can I change the designs at all? A: You are aloud to alter the designs a little bit, yes, and you can simplify them as well if you need :D Q: Can I change the names of the characters? A: Of course! ^^ The names they currently have are just placeholder names, you can change their bio however you want Hopefully I answered some of your questions! ------------------ Designs ------------------ Gingerbread - 1 Entries Reindeer - 0 Entries Icicle - 0 Entries Elf - 3 Entries Peppermint - 1 Entries ------------------ Outro ------------------ Alrighty, I just want to say, good luck! Name: Peppermint Backstory: Peppermint has always been cheerful. In the morning, she woke everyone up early miming the caws of the birds that live outside her bedroom window. At dusk she would skip around the neighbour hood, yelling timetables. Peppermint came from a family that was the opposite of cheerful and more then enough gloomy. She thought they were very quiet. They lived in a small house with to many doors in a peaceful neighbourhood that Peppermint quite liked. Peppermint knew she loved to stop past Mr. Santr's door every Christmas and sing the 12 Days of Christmas at the top of her lungs. She knew lots of things. Except only a few . . . Sometimes she would look at her reflection and think, What am I to everyone else? She knew that was question impossible to answer. Gee I'm bad at backstories, so ugh I'm so disappointed with this. Oh well, anyway, as a blurb for a book, slightly too long and not enough hooking
