The thumbnail is a joke lol Click for next picture -x- Hello wonderful people, it's me again! Recently I was looking through my old art on Ibis paint, and I found my second oldest piece there (The one I'm redrawing). I also decided to make this an art process because just like my art style, my process has changed overtime as well lol. Welp, let's get into it! -x- 1. The sketch, the majority of the time I do more sketches but the first one came out really well here. When I sketch, I like to lower the opacity of my brush so that I can see all of the lines clearly. I forgot to remove the old piece reference in the corner, so like it might look weird. 2. Lineart! I like to do the lineart of the face on a different layer so it's easily adjustable. I also tend to bounce around between red and blue lineart, I chose blue for this piece. 3. Background shading + colour. I do this so that I can get an idea of where the light will come from. In this case, the light was coming from above. 4. Base colour. Nothing much really to say here, other than that I like to use light green because I never use that colour while colouring lol. 5. Flat colours. I tend to not use the original colour, but instead I mix in a tiny bit of the background colour, to try and make it fit in more with the surrounding parts (you can see that in the parts that are meant to be "white") 6. Cel shading. I colour pick some basic shading colours for the character, and add them in. They're kind of the medium shading colour, and I add a lighter and darker version in later. 7. Airbrushing in more shades to give a more universal (?) feel. They're a lighter shade, and a darker shade. 8. Mood lighting. For this piece, I wanted the lighting to feel more extreme, so I added a multiply layer with the background colours, then erased + added an add layer on the parts that would have more light. I also added some overlay highlights in the eyes. 9. Final touches. For this step I adjusted the lineart colour so that it blended in better, and added the stars into the background. This step is pretty simple, but I think it finished the piece pretty well ^^ 10. Filters. This is the step where I would say filters to see how I could adjust the piece. I settled on this one. I kinda like the vibes that it gives off, reminds me like of an old anime or something. Not entirely sure if I like this or the original piece better. 11. Three original piece. I kinda changed the posing + expression, but that's because this one just felt so awkward lol. Overall I really love how is turned out :D
