This is a hint for the summer challenge #1. Run it, and watch what happens to the variables on the left. You could use something like this to test out 1st * 2nd to see what happens when you multiple 1 by every number 1-10, and than 2 by every number 1-10, and so forth, until you get to 10 times every number 1-10. Does this help?
