⠀ ↱˳⸙ ⌨︎∗: @aspiring- ⁱˢ ᵗʸᵖⁱⁿᵍ··· the more i look at this the more i hate it. yayyayyy dmce shared on the day of the deadline. this is a very aster thing to do, i can assure you B] ⠀ ↳ ❝ info ❞ ⇢ when i saw this character’s ref i was like “yes yes let me draw them they are gorgeous” and here we are, ⇢ i decided to turn it into an art process because why not, and also you guys will probably give it more love if it’s not just one imported image. ⇢ sorry for submitting it so late, procrastination got the better of me :’) ⇢ it wasn’t exactly the original concept i had in mind, but i guess it’s okay? not really sure how i feel about it, honestly. ⇢ i just wish it had come out more dynamic. ⇢ and i draw using procreate with an apple pencil ⠀ ↳ ❝ instructions ❞ ⇢ click the flag ⇢ tap/space/arrows woowwow you totally didn’t see that coming. /sar ⠀ ↳ ❝ process! ❞ ⇢ “anatomy” sketch. just the 6b pencil brush, haha. i pretty much establish the pose and use this as a guideline. ⇢ finished sketch! i drew this over the anatomy sketch (which was on 50% opacity) with again, the 6b pencil B) ⇢ ✨lineart✨ used the dry ink brush. again, drew over the previous step. i think varying the thickness of your lines while inking can help your art look nicer. ⇢ base colors- i didn’t import the ref because i was lazy so i just guessed :P i knew i wanted the purple hair and other purple lines to r e a l l y stand out. i used a brush i imported called ‘sketch round’, i’ll link it at the bottom. ⇢ blocking out the shading. again, sketch round brush. i know it looks ugly right now but i promise i know what i’m doing. ⇢ multiply and turned down the opacity to 50%. see? it looks okay now! i like to shade with bright neon colors because i think it makes my art more colorful and interesting to look at. ⇢ blocking out lighting. same as the blocking out shadows step. ⇢ add + opacity turned down, we get this lovely look. ⇢ idk, background? backgrounds are my worst enemy, i swear :’) i just wanted a kind of dark atmosphere so i did this. (it’ll get better! i know it looks ugly right now, lol) ⇢ wowwww the hair is glowing! and the little purple lines. i used the bloom effect, my best friend for cool glows effects <3 ⇢ dropped a purple multiply layer over it. ⇢ erased part of the overlay to make the glowing stand out. ⇢ messed around with effects, idk exactly what i did. i think i adjusted the color curve thingies. oh, and colored the lineart. ⇢ more effects! lost track of what i was doing, mostly just playing with settings. i also used the perspective blur to make it look better with the blurred background. and that was it, haha. hope it maybe helped you a little <3 brush pack -> https://jingsketch.gumroad.com/l/JingsketchBrushes ⠀ ↳ ❝ credits ❞ ⇢ art by me! ⇢ dmc hosted by ⇢ character belongs to ⇢ zoom-in code by ⇢ other simple code by me ⇢ description layout by me ⇢ too lazy for music lol. deal with it >B] ⠀ ↳ ❝ tags ❞ ⇢
