The rock cycle is a cycle that all rocks go through. First, material from under the Earth's crust heats up into magma. Then, the rocks go underneath the surface and cool into igneous rock. Plate motion can cause the rock to get closer to the surface (uplift) and get weathered into sediment. The sediment then, with plate motion, goes underneath the Earth's crust (subduction) and turns into metamorphic rock with lots of heat and pressure. Then it melts into magma to go through the cycle all over again. (This game does not feature uplift; the magma travels to the surface because of a volcano)
