Blackmoon’s backstory - at last!

Sorry, more Blackmoon stuff. I’m kind of obsessed with him at the moment. WARNING: CONTAINS THEMES OF DEATH, KI//ING AND OVERALL AWFUL ACTIONS. IF THIS TRIGGERS YOU, PLEASE DO NOT READ. You should be ok with this if you’re ok with the stuff that’s roleplayed in TWC, though. So, Blackmoon used to be a loner named Mercury. He had two younger siblings, Venus (who was male) and Pluto (who was female). His mother had always wanted a daughter and made no secret that Pluto was her favourite child. Mercury and Venus were somewhat pushed aside; they formed a very close bond because of this. When the kits were all about three moons old, Pluto got sick and d!ed. Her mother was completely distraught, and neglected Venus and Mercury due to her grief. The two kits learned to be very independent and self-sufficient. Mercury loved Venus fiercely and became very protective of him. When Mercury and Venus were six moons old. Their mother told them that they needed to make their own way in the world. Mercury got very angry with his mother, accusing her of wanting to get rid of them because she loved Pluto more than them. Despite the fact that this was not the case, Mercury refused to believe his mother and he and Venus left her. The two brothers lived as loners for some time, but Venus was eventually ki//ed by a hyena. Mercury was grief-stricken and blamed their mother for his brother’s de@th. He swore revenge on her. Mercury lived alone for a few moons. One day, while out hunting, he met a caracal named Cherrypaw. Cherrypaw tried to fight him, but he beat her. Later on Mercury saved Cherrypaw from a crocodile, and he was invited to join Cherrypaw’s Clan, SpringClan. He was given the name Blackpaw. Blackpaw and Cherrypaw became very good friends. Blackpaw soon proved to be brave, intelligent and strong, but a little bit ruthless. Despite this, he was a great member of the Clan. At his first Gathering, Blackpaw first encountered Talonstar (then Talonstrike) and he grew to admire her greatly. Because of this, he wasn’t made a warrior until he was about twenty-four moons old, because Speedstar didn’t really trust him. Also, it caused Blackpaw and Cherrypaw’s relationship to really go downhill. Cherrypaw had been good friends with Blackpaw for a long time (and at one point it looked like they would be more than friends) but the two of them started arguing and fighting a lot, because Cherrypaw hated Talonstar because she thought she was cruel and vicious. Speedstar eventually gave Cherrypaw the warrior name of Cherrywing. Blackpaw became jealous of Cherrywing getting her warrior name before him even though they were the same age, and that Speedstar actually trusted her. This caused Blackpaw and Cherrywing’s relationship to sour even more. One day, they were out hunting together and Cherrywing mentioned wanting to be a member of ANTS, which at that time was a fairly new group. This enraged Blackpaw, and they fought each other. In the end Blackpaw pushed Cherrywing into the river, and she drowned. Blackpaw expected to feel guilty or sad, but he didn’t really feel anything. Blackpaw went back to camp and told them that Cherrywing had fallen into the river by accident and drowned. Although Speedstar didn’t really believe him, there was no evidence that Blackpaw had done anything to Cherrywing, so she accepted his story and gave him his warrior name of Blackmoon. Blackmoon was ecstatic to finally be a warrior. Later on, he went back to his mother and took his revenge on her by ki//ing her. Many moons later, Blackmoon decided to start a group to support Talonstar - Pro-Talonstar, or PROTESTS. And so his story begins. - END
