So I asked some artists what their favorite music genres were, and this is what I came up with. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK THE TIME TO RESPOND!!! MUCH LOVE!!! Part 1: PHONK / POP (for @Artinqq) This is what I thought of when I read your comment and saw your favorite genres. Tbh, I don't know if I got it right, but I hope it's... relatively close? Part 2: LO-FI (for @Pichi-) Some nice, calm, chords. I'm not great with lo-fi either, but I thought some chill vibes would really match your account. Though I am a bit irked by the lack of freedom I have in expressing my artcore piano in lo-fi T.T Part 3: CHIP + ROCK (for @jocers) (Out now!) Hard on the beat, it ain't neat. It slapped to me, and I hope it slaps hard for you too. This is my field of expertise, and I hope it shows. Enjoy! Part 4: PS2??? (for @Kneebones) ??? Ocetace and I had a really hard time coming up with something. Therefore, I came up with something. I think it fits the idea of "nostalgia" better than PS2, but it's chill. Hope y'all like it. Part 5: Pop (for @Glitch-Tech) Pop is broad, and I wasn't comfortable with dm'ing you like I did with @Kneebones or @jocers... So I just picked out a subgenre of pop and went with it. Part 6: J-Rock (for @potatobear616) (Out now!) yasssss gurl j-rock is hype!! But idk how to do it. It took a while. I spent a lot of time learning how to write the chords, but it still kinda turned out weird... Part 7: Indie Rock (for @calamarimi) this person has vanished from the website anyway indie rock Part 8: Artcore (for me lol) (THE FINALE!!!) I end things with a bang. It will end with a bang. ----------------------------------- Some people queued up: no one If your name ain't on here, either I didn't ask (bruh) or you didn't respond yet ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°) or... you ghosted me (smh my head head) -Credit to (aka speechlesspeaches) for helping piece the music together. Could not have done it without them. Seriously, this person is a lifesaver.
--- NEW!!! --- Suggested by @Kneebones: Added media controls! Switch between part/full song on the bottom, fast-forward/backward parts on top! --- What is this? --- Bruh... this is a music compilation. Wear headphones, or you're gonna regret missing the extremely cool sound bouncing that goes on in one or two of these parts. This is a rendition of various genres (Like a DTIYS, but for music!) compiled into one big song. Of course, each part is dedicated to a really cool Scratcher, too! See above for who the parts correspond to. --- Work hours --- For @Artinqq's part, it took me about 2 hours to put together, though it did take quite a while longer to understand how to start the project. For @Pichi-'s part, it took like 4, but only because I was going 30+ hours without sleeping LOL For @jocers's part, it took 5 hours because it was just too fun to pivot away from. For @Kneebones's part, my head hurt because I didn't know how to make heads or tails out of the genre. I lost like 2 minutes of sleep trying to think about it. I've spent 12+ hours trying to figure out nostalgia D: For @Glitch-Tech's part, it took around 4 hours. Couldn't really find any especially distinguishable features to add, but it is what it is. For @potatobear616's part, I had to learn how to create a guitar noise, so that kinda took a while. ~4 hours. --- Reasons for making this --- I think I'm out of the Scratch loop, and it feels like nobody cares about making friends these days. That, or I don't have the "qualifications" to be friends with some peeps... kinda mega sadge but whatever >: --- BTW --- For those of you who were wondering, *YES*, @ocetace (the scratch account) is owned by THE ocetace that helped me with making the music. Also the thumbnail I was lazy so that's the thumbnail I took while composing at 4 am lol It'll be updated once I get the whole ultrachad system up and running and this turns into a more complete, cool project. That, or I'll make a new project with the full song on release.
