hi! all the critique will be in the description, i’m just going to talk about what i changed here from the original to make it more realistic! this is a critique for @h1imvict0ria! :) to start off i love your OC design and it’s great that you went for semi-realism since it seems like that’s something you don’t post on your profile a lot! it’s great that you’re looking to improve and putting yourself out there for critique! :D thanks for letting me critique this! some of the first changes i made was making the eyes smaller, moving them closer together, moving the left eye up and adding eyelashes! the eyelashes are a little stylized because i used a big brush but if you want to make it more realistic adding eyelashes helps! (guys have them too even if they’re not as prominent!) i also added more to the chin because there’s usually some more chin below the lip, and i moved the ear down a little! i forgot to move it down more but i think the top of the ear usually lines up with the top of the eye :) if you wanted to add realism you could also try detailing the ear to show like.. the parts of the ear/you know what i mean :’) i also added some highlights/shadows on the hair to show the individual hairs and add more texture to the hair! i also changed the position of the mouth just to make it line up with the nose more and made it less tilted! that was basically all i did! as you can see a lot can change with small tweaks! i think some things could help if you’re looking to be more realistic are using a reference and flipping the canvas horizontally on the eyes! however this is really good and good job for just trying something new! :D i really like the rendering on the original especially the nose!!! thanks for letting me critique it again!
