the origins of the rickroll date back to the early days of 4chan. Some bozo got into 4chan's code, and made it so the word "eggroll" was replaced with "duckroll", and if someone questioned it, they would be sent a link to a picture of a duck with wheels for legs and eventually this evolved into the rickroll we all know and love today.
