hi friends! mia here! i wanted to talk about something really quick. i think it's important. before i continue: 1. this is not directed to anyone in particular 2. im not leaving scratch or going on a hiatus anyways. i thought it was important to bring this up and keep notice of what's happening in the community. today i came across several projects about people leaving or taking a break because of everything that is happening. including people h8ting, people not crediting, and those kinds of things. i wanted to bring awareness to this because no person in this community should have to experience h8. i thought that the purpose was to bring us together with things that we share/have in common. in this case, being aesthetic. people shouldn't have to leave scratch because of h8 from other scratchers. i think the main thing is that people tend to forget that there is a person, with feelings, on the other side of that screen. a note on people not crediting. please please PLEASE credit. people take their time making these things for you, if it's a banner or a set, they still take their time and effort to do this for YOU. it is very discouraging when people don't credit. it makes me sad to see all these wonderful people here leave. i hope that some of you took the time to read this and i appreciate it. -mia <3
