This is Diamondshine, a magical cat I made for the "Magic Cat Competition" by Binbabin84! :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Story~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Diamondkit was born in leaf-bare on one of the hardest nights of the season. Two elders and three kits died of greencough, a deadly disease. Berrybranch, the medicine cat, feared Diamondkit would die of greencough like the other cats, but she miraculously survived. Her parents, Lightwillow and Stormwing, wanted to name her Miraclekit because it was a miracle she survived, but her older sister, Willowcloud, thought Diamondkit would fit her better due to her shiny pelt. Most of the kits in CloudClan (the clan she was born into) developed their powers at five moons of age, but at that time, Diamondkit could barely walk. As a apprentice, she was severely bullied by the other apprentices due to her lack of powers. One of the meanest bulliest was Bluepaw, who was the leader's daughter, so she never got in trouble whenever she bullied Diamondpaw. Once, when Diamondpaw was training with the other apprentices, Bluepaw challenged her to a fighting competition. Of course, Diamondpaw accepted, for it was considered a disgrace if you declined. It was a long battle, and Diamondpaw barely won, but in the process, Bluepaw made a permanent scar along her shoulder, but left Diamondpaw alone and stopped bullying her. Diamondpaw was injured and couldn't train for many days due to the inability of her shoulder, and soon the rest of the apprentices became warriors, leaving Diamondpaw alone as the only apprentice. But after her shoulder healed, she became a warrior in no time, earning the name Diamondshine for her shiny pelt and immense power during the night. As if she hadn't been through enough, her sister and father, Willowcloud and Stormwing, died one day after Diamondshine had become a warrior. Suddenly, Diamondshine's life felt useless. Her sister and father were now dead with her mother's health slowly declining. But Diamondshine pushed through it, believing she could be the best cat in CloudClan even without her father a sister, even though she missed them with all her heart. Three moons later, Diamondshine's life has changed. She now had an apprentice, mate, and had overcome her grief of the death of her sister and father. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Abilities~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Diamondshine is strongest when the moon is at its fullest, but her normal powers are heightened energy and flying (without wings). Her pelt usually sparkles like small diamonds, but in the moonlight, it shines like a star.
