This is just a piece of art I've been working on--another scene from the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. It occurs during the prologue of the very first book, Into The Wild. It's the scene where Spottedleaf (the cat on the right), ThunderClan's medicine cat, and Bluestar are talking about a recent battle with RiverClan when a comet shoots across the sky. Spottedleaf interprets it as a sign from StarClan that says that fire will save the Clan. The prophecy was referring to Rusty, a kittypet who eventually becomes ThunderClan's leader.
I put a lot of work into this. It took me almost two hours. You can see my effort by all the stars I drew (lots of clicking!) and all the detail I put into Spottedleaf's fur. I've never tried to draw tortoiseshell fur before, so that was a challenge. I'm sorry I didn't do shading on her the way I did on Bluestar, but it would just be too complicated since her pelt has so many colors and patterns.
