Here's me rating each one! I put the top 10 in order from least favorite to favorite (although I put English first because it was the original, not because it was my least favorite) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ✿ 10. English- SO GOOD. For someone who had no singing experience until this, Rhenzy Feliz did a great job. I love the growls, the rasp, the emphasis, and of course "when he calls ʸᵒᵘʳ name". 11/10. Perfect. ✿ 9. Hungarian- Slowed for some reason?? Gives it the creepy, eerie vibe. Sounds cool. 6/10. ✿ 8. Croatian- I really love the growls and the build up/emphasis on certain parts. 7/10. ✿ 7. Italian- I like the tongue rolls and the "feasts on your screams" part. 8/10. ✿ 6. Swedish- Again, I like all the tongue tolls and growls. Sounds really smooth 8/10. ✿ 5. Norwegian- I like how the words are pronounced and the "no no no" and at the end he said "we don't talk about BrunooOo" and it was just nice. 9/10 ✿ 4. French- French is always such a pretty language. I love the way they pronounce their words. It also had a lot of feel and character in it. 10/10 ✿ 3. Spanish- I already memorized this version lol. Sounds very similar to English version, not just the voice, but the emphasis and way he sung certain parts. It's also Encanto's native language. 10/10. ✿ 2. Cantonese- A nightmare to translate. The translation is interesting... I absolutely love the way the VA made his voice stronger and raspier when it was Bruno, and softer and smoother when it was Camilo. Camilo would and does totally do that, and I kind of wish the English one did that too. It also really sounds young and like Camilo. 10/10. ✿ 1. Finnish- I LOVE IT SO MUCH. The tone, the little tongue roll at the beginning, the little growls, the way he said "when he calls your name" and at the end the "we don't talk about Bruno ᵉⁱ ᵉⁱ ᵉⁱ". So good. It also sounds really close to the English one and actually sounds like a 15 year old boy. 100/10. ✿ Bonus (Watch until the end to see)- I'M SORRY I HAD TO whoever made this did it so well and it is just a *ᵐᵃˢᵗᵉʳᵖⁱᵉᶜᵉ*. ∞/10. Overall, I think they did a really good job translating the song into different languages so that it could still rhyme, fit the rhythm, and make sense and fit the original. They did great on most of them with finding voice actors that sounded similar to the English one and ones who sounded like teenagers. Every version did a great job, and we all interpret different languages differently, and this is my opinion based off of how I interpret them. I'd like to hear everyone else's opinions also!
*I recommend clicking the flag twice so the audio and gif links up better* *Please note translations may not be accurate, I tried to get most of them from YouTube videos instead of Google Translate so they would be more accurate, but they could still be off* [Song] We Don't Talk About Bruno from Encanto (Camilo's part only) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Credits] {Video Audio} https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehjmZcnmgVE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drVQdw6oQ6U {Thumbnail} Me (Pixlr e) {Gif} (sorry it's pixely but it was the only way I could get the file small enough to get onto Scratch) idk it was complicated took me like 4 different websites lol but you can use it :> {Camilo pics} Pinterest ofc ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This literally took me so long to make because of trying to translate, and then typing each one out, and then THE TIMING omg getting the timing right for everything was so annoying... but I did it! And you don't wanna know how many times I've listened to this part now... It's so good that I'm not even tired of it.
