Every number up to 2^68, or 295 quintillion has been proven to follow 3x+1. It is such a simple problem, yet nobody has solved it. You can demonstrate 3x+1 as a tree, and infinite tree. Every single number that has ever been and ever will be, will (not proven) be on that tree, all hanging on a little trunk of 3 numbers. This "3x+1" is so hard and time-consuming that even the best mathematicians have tried and failed to solve it.
