Sparrowpaw stalked through the bracken, the leaves pulling at his pelt. He was on his warrior's assessment and he could hear Frogpool stalking behind him. Sparrowpaw snorted as a faint squeal of a mouse was heard past the bush he pounced, his hind legs bursting with energy as he unsheathed his claws, grasping brown fur. He landed with a thump, the mouse landing with him. "Get off me, you squirrel-head!" 'Wait, mice cant talk' He open his eyes to see Clawpaw squirming out of his grip, a mouse dangling from the toms jaws. "What was that for?" "Sorry, you took my mouse!" Sparrowpaw hissed. "It was good as mine. "Well how could I ever know, I caught it before you pounced at me. Go find your own prey." He huffed and stormed off. He walked through the forest, leaves crunching at his steps. A small squeak came again. 'It better not be Clawpaw.' He ponced and bit down on the small creature, it was a shrew and was big for size. He smiled and rattled came from behind as Frogpool walked out. "That's then the end of your assessment, the moon is already starting to rise." Sparrowpaw hasn't noticed the time. "Did i pass?" He asked, his voice muffled. She nodded, "You, your sister and Clawpaw both passed, both Clawpaw and Shadowpaw catching at least five mice, while you caught one and a shrew." Before continuing the conversation, she turned around and lead Sparrowpaw to the camp. The camp was slight, and all cats were scattered around, all in shock. Sparrowpaw dropped the shrew and pushed his way to the front of the cats to see a silver tabby she-cat laying in front. Goosestar was above her.Sunpaw was next to her, her eyes full of tears as her mentor, Cinderfire was trying to calm her down. Goosestar jumped on leader's rock, Looking down. "Indeed, Froststorm did not make it." She yelled for all the clan to hear. "She will be mourned and missed, she was a strong and young warrior to this clan." Sparrowpaw watched as Frogpool made her way to the rock, right next to him. "Goosestar, Sparrowpaw, Shadowpaw and Clawpaw are ready to become warriors." She yelled as a sign of hope flared in the leader's eyes. "Very well, then three warriors will fill in the place from one lost warrior." the leader chocked, looking at Froststorm's body. Sparrowpaw could feel Clawpaw and Shadowpaw sit next to him. "Cats of Dawnclan, we have three apprentice becoming warriors, do you three respect the code that the stars made?" "We we do." The three apprentice yelled in unison. "Then by Starclan, you will now be seen as a full warrior of Dawnclan, Welcome, Shadowstep, Sparrowflight and Clawtalon!" The She-cat yelled as the clan cheered. 'Sparrowflight!, thats my new name' he thought. 'It sounds like the name of a warrior!' He smiled, he will be the best warrior Dawnclan will ever know.
