WATCH AS SHE FUMBLES AND BENDS BUT NEVER BREAK- _ whoops you're here, no- no I'm not listening to Surface Pressure for like the hundredth time, excuse YOU! _ anyway, here's some more thinking along the lines of the box for you guys, as I present: Monday : Admiration : Elements Ship Week _ ` “No. No. Absolutely Not. I’d rather go die AGAIN in the worst way possible. No.” Peacefighter insisted, looking at the looming imbroglio that faced him. It was impossible to fight- he was more than outnumbered! Simply too many! It was an army- a- a- stampede! Infestation! And the freakishly smug she-cat at the head of it all was annoyingly five pawsteps away, where he couldn’t “harm” anyone. “I will ABSOLUTELY not babysit!” “Peacefighter. You owe us. You killed my mate!” Morningflower snapped, a few other cats tutted in sadness. The brown tom sunk, “For Starclan’s sake Morningflower, he was a pile of fox-dung! You admitted it yourself!!!” “It’s called leveraging Pineheart, now, you said you’d give me a favour one day? And I’m calling upon it know” The female smiled. It was a sick smile, one only a demon [or rabbit. Those were worse than demons] could master. “THIS is what I get for trying to help my best friend. Of course. I’m stuck with his annoying kin.” Peacefighter snapped. “I should have never taken that stupid oath and-” “Peacefighter! It’s only what- a day! Please? We just want some quality time, and that means handing over our young to someone we can TRUST!” A tom piped up, pleading. “No.” “We’ll let you hunt in Starclan boundaries” “And stay there for at least a day, this is kit sitting you’re talking about” “PLEASE, what do you know about kits?” “Enough to know one hunt is not enough for kitsitting. One day of Starclan, all I need” “Fine. Just try to keep them from becoming ev-” Peacefighter gasped, “Look, I’m letting a hoard of innocent kits into DARK FOREST territory and protecting them AND you’re expecting me not go La Familia Madrigal and explain how half of their relatives are actually-” The stern gaze of half of Starclan silenced him. But he did groan. And complain, only stopping when a good thirty kits were left in his care. “Okay. So… er…” The elder looked up at the mass of shining kits, literally- they all had little stars in their pelts and wide bright eyes and whatever other fox-dung Starclan kits were found with. “Question: Is it really true that you k!lled my father?” Shoot. “Can I go on a murd3ring spree?” Okay, I guess. Not bad. Potential that one. “Is it true that Darkshadow sent my mommy to Starclan? Is he here?” I swear I cannot deal with dysfunctional family issues right now- “OKAY! Listen up, everyone, I’m going to tell you a story.” Peacefighter commanded, using a voice he hadn’t used for moons- his signature dictator voice- one that he had spent SUNRISES perfecting- it was perfect, with a hint of I’m Not Joking Around and stern commandmandship and No complaining and the fact that he was really off topic. This was met with a hubbub of hubbub. Some cried out YES, some others said EW or NO I WANNA GO T0RTURE A WARRIOR [what was WRONG with these kits?] and a few replied that they were too old. There were quite a few insults thrown in there too. Rude. Peacefighter took a deep breath, and leaped up onto a nearby rock, shouting for silence among the kits. “You all probably have zero respect for elders- correct?” There was a silence, before a calico tom spoke up- “Pretty much, yeah!” Peacefighter inwardly sighed. “Fine. May I ask, who made sure that your kin could live a happy and healthy life?” “Momma?” “Brindlestar!” “... me?” “That old rogue who swears he knows how the whole uni-verso thing works?” Gosh- it was a good thing these guys were d3ad. “No! Elders! We slaved and worked for our clan so our kin and their kin could have a good life! Like… Junipersong! You guys must know that story!” There was a cricketing silence that made Peacefighter really scared- was he THAT old?? The thought seemed to grip him in the back of his mind, for some reason annoying him more than it did- of course he was old! But /that/ old? He cleared his throat: “ Junipersong was a.. Well, normal cat, if you could call fae such a thing. They were energetic, kind, and not very wise in the slightest- a leap before you look person, you know? Well, whatever they lacked in the brains department, they made up by being a great fighter- pause for a sec there, Junipersong’s story is also a brawn is never better than brain- if you are lacking in the brain department, please don’t ignore it- it saves lives, being smart, or knowing smart people, or just having common sense, is always good. Well, they slaved away at being a warrior and such pride and respect for their clan! And it was a beautiful thing, you know? This was back much before my time- “ There were a few gasps, and Peacefighter [CONT]
[CONT] made a mental note to take everything out on Darkshadow, or give Scaleback a visit and vent. Come on, sure he was OLD, but Junipersong-forgetting old? Lovely. Just- Just lovely. “Anyway, they slaved away for their clan and it worked out! Junipersong apprenticed their sibling’s kt, Cloudkit / Cloudpaw, and was made deputy a few moons after Cloudbreeze got her warrior name. It was a perfect life for Junipersong until there was a battle. Obviously, the deputy and leader were at the front of the fight, with those !diotic Riverclanners who were entirely at-” “I’m from Riverclan!” “So am I!” “A-are we !diotic?” “Oh dear Starclan what have I done to deserve this- ANYWAY, they fought with bravery and eventually one the fight, but the credit was taken and given too a tom named Littlefeather, who stole the victory and is still known today as a gigantic-” “HERO! HERO! I KNOW THAT STORY!" “YEAH! LITTLEFEATHER SAVED THE CLAN!” Peacefighter wanted nothing more than to curl up and complain. “Okay then… he was evil. And Junipersong was sent to the elders’ den on account of injuries, everyone regarded them as not deserving of the title of deputy, Littlefeather was made deputy and then became LittleSTAR, and Starclan cursed Littlestar for achieving his rank in such treacherous purposes, which is why you always respect your elders!” “Isn’t that a more of a work hard and achieve things yourself sto-” “Nope nope nope uh uh nope- it isn’t. Now go home and I dunno, go give all the elders in Starclan a big hug or whatever and tell me how they reacted” The kits cheered, rushing out in a horde and then Peacefighter realized the mistake he had made: He would have to do this again tomorrow. WHY. [Sorry this was late!] CREDITS: Scaleback - @akwardwarrioroffire1 Darkshadow - @anni3xo
