The Great Game is played in 5 rounds and the best of 5 wins, not unlike the game Sette e mezzo. Starting from a random base of diplomatic effort in the ever-shifting game, the goal is to hit diplomatic success, represented by the value of 10, with the player represented by the left hand card and the AI represented by the right hand card. However, the art of diplomacy is a fickle thing. Push too hard and over 10 and the round is lost. If both parties go over or stay below 10, then the higher value wins. An equal effort means a draw. Have the majority of issues stalemate in the diplomatic battle and the target might decide that neutrality is the better choice. Gamble will pick a number between 1 and the number it will take to reach 10 so long as that number is higher than 3. The top Safe Bet will pick either a 1 or a 2. The bottom Safe Bet will pick a number between 2 and 4. Gamble takes 60 seconds while the safe bets only take 45 seconds and each round lasts 180 seconds.
This is very obviously ripped off from The New Order: Last Days of Europe and I also used the card assets from the TNO version in this game.
