Save the oak trees! About oak trees: Acorns: Acorns are what grow on the tree, and eventually grow into oaks! However, they can also: Be eaten by a: Bird, squirrel, + more! Be: Weakened by an insect that gnaws a hole in the acorn, and then wriggles out after a while, leaving a hole. This can damage the seed inside the acorn's hard outer shell. Growth of oaks/acorns: They fall off the tree onto the ground and then, after a period of time, germinate (grow)! (Or, they get planted by a human, and then do that process) Fully-grown oaks!: After many long years of growing in the ground, you end up with a fully grown oak tree! It is then home to many creatures, including some of these!: Lots of birds, squirrels, insects, pollinators, and that's just in the branches! Underneath, it provides shelter for larger animals, like hedgehogs, badgers, and foxes!
