June rushed out of her room finding her mother, the soul queen, in the hallway waiting for her. "There you are. Come on it's about to start, if your late for this you can't undo that." her mother said walking down the hallway. June bounded after her and ran slowly to a walk next to her mother. "You might make a good queen one day. As long as you remember to not be late." her mother said teasingly as they walked to the throne room. It seemed there was more than double the wolves of the kingdom gathered to see the ceremony. June's younger siblings, Princess Flower and Prince Tree, watched her next to their mother's throne. June looked at her father's empty throne next to her mothers. If only he could have lived long enough... she thought. Taking a deep breath, she walked to the thrones at the front of the huge room. River, her mother's adviser, sat waiting for her with a special necklace held in her teeth. Once June was next to her, Queen Dawn spoke, "Subjects of the Sunshine Kingdom, today we name my first-born the true heir of our kingdom, though this was delayed du-ue to the death of our king, P-peridot. So, Princess June do you vow to rule with unity and peace over our kingdom?" her mother turned to her. "I do." Princess June said slightly bowing her redish head. Queen Dawn nodded to River for her to bring the necklace. She walked over to her, the emeralds on the necklace shown bright from the light that streamed in from the windows. "I, Queen Dawn of the Sunshine Kingdom, then announce you heir of the kingdom." River slid the necklace over the princess's head. A single emerald with to smaller ones hung from the necklace. The wolves that made up the crowd and her younger siblings shouted her name, "Princess June! Princess June!" June stared shyly at the crowd of wolves. Her mother whispered to her, "He would be proud of you, you know."
