BACKSTORY TIIIIME (btw, this is taking place in the rift apart game): Rivet laying down on the ground, defeated by Emperor Nefarious. Ratchet looks up at the emperor, ready to fight for Rivet, his friend, The other lombax that he has met. Emperor Nefarious laughs darkly, "you know, you remind me of this little lomax laying underneath us. You would be quite useful for my plan". Ratchet looks down at his friend, maybe his crush even. he sighs then looks back up at the emperor. "look, whatever you plan is, i dont wanna have Any part of it! I want to continue being my universe's hero, and I want Rivet..." Ratchet trails off the rest of his sentence, looking down at Rivet again. The emperor notices how much Ratchet has been looking at the other lombax. "You know, I could make her a hero too" Ratchet looks up at him, confused but yet interested, "how exactly, when your the villain here?" Nefarious glares down at rivet for a split second, but then looks behind him, giving some kind of signal to something.. or someone, suddenly, the last thing Ratchet remembers before everything went black, was someone grabbed him from behind and gave him some kind of needle shot. hours go by and Rivet wakes up in a place she doesnt know of at all, realizing she's tied up and ratchet was tied up as well, but he was still passed out. Suddenly, a door opens and Rivet instantly realizes who it was that came in. It was Rivet's friend from a very long time ago, Ruby. "Well, Well, Well.. long time no see Riv! How is life trying to be the hero with your new friend? hmm?" Ruby's tail goes up as she starts giggling, the light making her fox tail look shiny. she starts going closer to Rivet when she hears the emperor "Don't mess with her, Ruby" Rivet sighs quietly in relief, not wanting ruby to get close to her. Ruby crosses her arms but backs away from Rivet, death glaring her. Nefarious goes over to Rivet and pulls on her arm harshly. Rivet gives a small yelp and jolts from the pain. "L-Let go of m-my arm! It hurts!". Ruby just laughs a little to herself, enjoying the pain that Rivet was getting. Ratchet slowly starts to wake up. The Emperor stops and backs away from Rivet. "Ruby, make sure the dose you gave him is working". Rivet was confused by what nefarious meant. Ruby goes over to Ratchet. when he opened his eyes, one of them were much darker than his normal color. That color, looked almost black, but it was a real dark green. "What did you do to me?" Ratchet's voice sounded harsh and dark. Rivet looked surprised, she's never has heard ratchet's voice like that before. Ruby just looked at the dark-eyed lombax, smiling. A dark smile, "so it worked". Rivet was still confused over what the emperor said, what dose was he talking about? What it put into ratchet? Why was it put into him? As Rivet was thinking about all the questions, Ruby untied Ratchet to see what he would do. At first he just looked at Ruby, death glaring her. But after a minute, he got up and went over to Rivet. Rivet noticed this while she was thinking about all her questions, which quickly snapped her out of her thoughts. "Ratchet? A-Are you okay?" he looked at her, then began to pull her close. Rivet was shocked and was blushing madly while Ruby just looked.. confused and, she had a hint of jealousy in her eyes. Rivet just hugged him, he hugged back. Then, out of the blue.. the lights went out fully. Rivet got nervous and scared, Ruby was starting to think that maybe it worked fully after all. When Rivet went to hug Ratchet tighter, she didn't feel anything. "R-Ratchet?". Suddenly, Both Rivet and Ruby hear Ratchet's voice, it still sounded dark, but also sounded a little insane like "Ya know, I've never really wanted to be the hero of the story like everyone wants me to be, I've just been pretending to be the hero, on the good side. But... I've been the villain, on the other side the whole time". Suddenly, the lights came back on and Ratchet had a rose, and he was in front of Rivet with it, his darker eye became a bit lighter. "R-Ratchet?!". Rivet was no longer tied up, she didn't notice it at first. Ratchet looked up at Rivet, "wanna be my partner in crime, darling?" Rivet was blushing like mad. She didn't know what to say. "Ratchet, I..." Rivet was speechless. Ruby just started to laugh, "so, is there a mini camera in the rose or something?" She looked at ratchet with a sly smile. he just shook his head at ruby and mouthed to her 'something better than that'. Rivet glared at ruby, a mean glare, but she quickly changed her emotion back to a mixture of shyness and happiness. "So, what will it be, Rivet?" Ratchet's dark eye started to grow lighter, but then it would go back to its dark green. Rivet noticed this and pulled Ratchet close. She was nervous to do this, but she thought it maybe help get ratchet back to himself again. Meanwhile, Ratchet was blushing mad. He didn't know what to do.
