Here’s the official map for Vale of Shadows! This is what you should use as a reference when roleplaying, and is what I imagine ChrysalisClan’s territory to be like. Please excuse my terrible drawing; I’m not an artist :’) Let’s ignore the fact that I forgot the lake and that I accidentally called the spirit tree the moon tree- and I drew this on kleki and accidentally reloaded the page and lost all my progress, so there’s no chance of me fixing it until I have the energy to redraw the whole map :’00 Lol I was really unoriginal with names, they may end up being changed in the future. ANYWAYS, onto the territory ;) ChrysalisClan camp Pretty self-explanatory. A large clearing in the middle of the forest. The dens are made up of sticks, twigs, moss and other various resources found in the forest. Many are decorated with milkweed from the flower field, and are replaced every once in a while by an apprentice. The Forest Literally just a forest. Made up of oak and maple trees that turn a brilliant shade of red and orange in the fall. The trees are spread apart, so lots of sunlight reaches the forest floor. Training Rocks A natural assortment of extremely large rocks in a small clearing. Mentors use them to train their apprentices in agility and balance, but they can be very dangerous. Many cats have reached the medicine den by slipping on one of these rocks and receiving a concussion. The cliff A large rocky face overlooking the large river. Extremely dangerous, and cuts off sharply, seemingly out of nowhere. Many cats have accidentally plummeted to their death on this steep cliff… The River A long, average paced river placed at the foot of one of the mountains surrounding ChrysalisClan territory. The river is blanketed in sharp stones, and it’s small beach is equally irritating. The water level is very high in the summer, and small floods are not uncommon. However, it tends to ice over in the winter and many games can be played on the frozen water. Just be wary — you never know when the ice could crack. Abandoned Twoleg Den A twoleg once lived here. Now it is unused, and a perfect home for mice. It is warm, even in the winter, and is a steady source of prey, even in the coldest seasons. Flower Field An enormous field of flowers, mostly made up of milkweed and lavender. Every spring the butterflies migrate here, and when they come when the weather turns warm, it is a very important day, and many festivals and events follow. Spirit Tree The ChrysalisClan equivalent of the moonstone/moonpool. Nested upon a mountain ridge, the Spirit Tree is where medicine cats and leaders talk to StarClan. Every cat is taken at least once during their apprentice-hood, but it can be a treacherous, yet short journey. The mountain is extremely steep, and paths are yet to be made. The lake (isn’t on the map) The river opens up into a large lake south of the abandoned twoleg home. It is not considered ChrysalisClan territory, but many cats enjoy the sandier beach and tend to relax there when they can spare the time. The Tunnels (not included on the map) The tunnels are a series of underground oassages traveling all throughout ChrysalisClan territory. After the death of the former leader Blueberrystar in these tunnels, they have been declared extremely dangerous and it is forbidden to step inside them. All known entrances have been sealed, and breaking this rule can be punishable with being lowered by a circle. That’s it! Just realizing 95% of the things in ChrysalisClan territory is dangerous, but eh :shrugs:
