Hello all, here I'll be explaining each of the ranks in SpindleClan to clear up any confusion. I will be talking about the training each apprentice receives and what is expected of all ranks. Another project will be released explaining "events", such as rank movements and assigned mates. --- - Kit (Ages 1-3 moons) Children~ Nothing is expected of them. They typically stay in camp, however it's not necessarily frowned upon for them to leave with a warrior. Kits are not permitted to join patrols. Kits are not permitted to join battle. Kits are not permitted to heal. --- - Hunter Apprentice (Ages 4-9 moons) These trainees are given a mentor to train with for five moons. They will typically train throughout 3/4 of the daylight, with the other fourth spent as leisure time. No night training is expected of them. Typically a hunter apprentice is trained on hunting skills throughout their time, going from basic skills all the way up to advanced. However, they will also receive basic battle training near the end of their apprenticeship. These apprentices will also receive some range of medical knowledge, so they will be able to serve as back-up medicine in case of emergency. Not enough medical knowledge to be considered a medicine cat however. Hunter apprentices are permitted to join patrols. Hunter apprentices are not permitted to join battle. Hunter apprentices are not permitted to heal. --- - Fighter Apprentice (ages 4-9 moons) These trainees are given a mentor to train with for five moons. They will typically train throughout 1/2 of the daylight, with the other half spent as leisure time and night training prep(rest). They will spend 1/2 of the night training as well. Typically a fighter apprentice is trained in battle skills throughout their time, going from basic skills to advanced. Not only are they trained in ground combat, but swimming/swimming combat, tree climbing/tree-climbing combat, and other maneuvers. They will also receive basic hunting training at the beginning of their apprenticeship. Fighter apprentices are permitted to join patrols. Fighter apprentices are permitted to join battle. Fighter apprentices are not permitted to heal. --- - Warrior Apprentice (ages 4-15 moons) These trainees are given a mentor to train with for eleven moons. They will typically train throughout 3/4 of the daylight, with the other quarter spent as leisure time and night training prep(rest). They will spend 1/4 of the night training as well. Typically warrior apprentices are trained in various skills throughout their time. They will learn a mix of battle and hunting skills, along with minimal medical knowledge. They will start with basic battle combat skills and mix basic hunting skills as they move on, eventually going to succeed at intermediate in both. These apprentices can often be seen training alongside fighter apprentices or hunter apprentices. Never are they expected to be better in one category than the other. Warrior apprentices are permitted to join patrols. Warrior apprentices are permitted to join battle. Warrior apprentices are not permitted to heal. --- - Medicine cat apprentice (ages 4-15 moons) These trainees are given a mentor to train with for eleven moons. They will typically train throughout all of the daylight, having to find leisure time in-between training sessions. Typically medicine apprentices will be trained solely on medicine, and surprisingly intermediate fighting experience. They will spend most of their time in the den learning herbs and their uses, along with advanced techniques medicine cats use. Nearing the age of 10 moons they will start receiving basic defense skills in-between medicine sessions, ending their apprenticeship with advanced defense skills. Nearing the end of their apprenticeship MCAs sometimes train with fighters, but not often. Their practice still focuses on medicine. Medicine apprentices are permitted to heal. Medicine apprentices are not permitted to join patrols. Medicine apprentices are not permitted to join battle. --- - Other notes on apprentices EVERY apprentice will be expected to defeat their mentor in a battle supervised by the clan in order to receive their next rank. If they fail this battle, possible results include exile or a reset(start at the beginning of their apprenticeship with a new mentor). Apprentices are NOT permitted to interact with their parents. They are purposefully not put on patrols with each other. --- - Hunter (Ages 10+) Hunters are expected to hunt daily for their clan. It is dishonorable to eat before catching a piece of prey. In the case that no medicine cat/mca is available, hunters are expected to take their place in healing. Hunters are permitted to heal(intermediate skills only). Hunters are permitted to join patrols. Hunters are not permitted to join battle.
The rank explanations are continued below! I just want to make sure the notes and credits are visible - RP: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/31131032/comments Any questions? Let me know! I'm willing to answer whatever you got --- - Fighter (Ages 10+ moons) Fighters are expected to join patrols daily, and to fight in battle when they are needed. The leader will also spend five moons training the deputies in aspects they did not learn, including medicine, fighting, and hunting. This will give them intermediate skills in what they do not already know. While the leader decides punishments, deputies are expected to deliver them. Deputies are typically a cat and their assigned mate chosen by the leader. If a deputy dies, the leader will appoint someone in their place. This cat is then assigned to be the mate of the other deputy, leaving their former one to find another/not have one. Deputies are permitted to deliver first aid.
