Yooo I did a thing guys So basically I saw this art challenge where you change your whole device to grayscale and make a drawing like that, so you don't know which colors you're using. Then when you turn the colors back on it's supposed to be a surprise and look really cool and you're supposed to be like "wow! I never would've thought to use those colors!" (Also it helps with practicing values) So yeah I tried that and this is what happened lol (Click space to see grayscale version) ~ ~ My process (?): So basically I picked a moodboard off of p!intrest and made it into a color palette. Then I did the whole turning your device into grayscale thing. And then I realized I probably wasn't going to end up with a natural skin color so I just decided I would draw something more fantasy like. Then I drew it in grayscale. (Click space to see it like that) Finally I turned colors back on and marveled at the masterpiece I had brought into the world. ~ ~ But for real though, this is a great way to study values while it still being fun because at the end you get something really cool. Like also if you don't know what colors to use, or you're in an art block, try this. I really recommend that people do this exercise, and if you do, let me know!
