Hey guys! So I know I’m know the most active on Scratch anymore, so I thought I should update all of you on what I’m doing as of now. ₛₒ wₕₐₜ ₐbₒᵤₜ ₛcᵣₐₜcₕ? Like I said, I’m not very active anymore on the platform, and I don’t ever plan on going back to being incredibly active. About once every two weeks, I pop in to check my notifications, reply to comments, and check out what’s trending/front paged. I check up on my friends and people I follow, and I intend to keep it this way. Just because I’m not active doesn’t mean I’m “leaving Scratch.” I’m keeping the Scratch window open while also moving on to other platforms. Specifically, YouTube. ₘy Yₒᵤₜᵤbₑ Cₕₐₙₙₑₗ First of all, I want to let you guys know that the YouTube link in my bio is to a channel that I am no longer active on. My new YouTube channel will be linked at the bottom of the description, so make sure to read until the end! I currently make funny edits on my YouTube channel, but unless I end up really enjoying making edits, my content will most likely change in the future, as well as my channel name and branding. I will probably switch to making art dumps, music covers, book reviews, movie reviews, and possibly more. Wₕₑₙ ᵢ dₒ ᵢ ₚₗₐₙ fₒᵣ ₘy cₕₐₙₙₑₗ ₜₒ cₕₐₙgₑ? In all honesty, I think it entirely depends on when my channel starts to grow. Once I begin to incorporate these types of videos into my content stream, that will allow me to tell through my analytics how many people care about my personality enough to want to see these types of videos. If I simply begin my channel with making these videos - the kind which depend on whether people like me as a person - then I can never build up as much of a base at the beginning. I have no idea how much of that makes sense, but my plan is ultimately to wait to build up subscribers. Wᵢₗₗ yₒᵤ bₑ ₐbₗₑ ₜₒ ₕₑₐᵣ ₘₒᵣₑ ₒf ₘy ₛᵢₙgᵢₙg? Most likely, yes. :) Wₕₐₜ cₐₙ yₒᵤ ₑₓₚₑcₜ fᵣₒₘ ₘₑ ᵢₙ ₜₕₑ fᵤₜᵤᵣₑ? You can expect for me to keep in touch as much as I can.
Now that I’ve explained everything, I’d like to finish with a Q & A. 1. Are u ok? Yes lol 2. How did you get so many followers so quickly? Honestly, I have to thank for that. He was the one who was kind enough to curate my original song, “Death Wish.” Having my own original song reach the front page of scratch was an unbelievable experience, and it made me gain more followers than I could’ve ever thought…. and although in the eyes of many people I have a teeny tiny following, it’s truly a lot to me, especially as a girl who never thought she would pass 10 followers. Thank you all so much for all the support. <333 3. Do I call you Maple or Cati? I honestly don’t really mind what you call me. You can call me either, or you can make up your own nickname to call me.(unless it’s offensive ofc) 4. Do you write your songs yourself? Yes! Every song that I’ve posted that says “Original” in the title I wrote myself, if it says “cover” it’s just me singing someone else’s song. ^-^ 5. Do you SING your songs yourself? Slightly different question than the one before, but yes. I sing all of my songs myself, unless you’re seeing someone else cover one of my songs. 6. Do you still write songs? Absolutely. Just because I don’t post them doesn’t mean I don’t write them. I write songs in my head all the time, and it’s up to me whether I think I could make something out of them or not. 50% of the time I don’t ever end up finishing the songs I write… but I’m constantly coming back to old ones with potential! 7. Can I use your song in one of my projects? As long as you give credit, I’m fine with you using my songs. You MUST give credit, though. :) 8. How do you write the lyrics of one of your songs? Do the words come easily, or you sit down and think for a long time? It definitely depends on the song. I get a lot of my inspiration from being out in nature; being in the woods, taking a beach day, etcetera. When it comes to the actual process of writing the song, it can go either way. Sometimes a song will flow easily from the beginning, or sometimes it’s quite the uphill battle. Or sometimes it’s easy to write the chorus but hard to write the verses or bridge, or vice versa. 9. How old are you? I am 1,997 years old. Thanks for asking! :D 10. When did you begin using scratch? In 2018, I took a tech class, and towards the beginning of the year, we briefly used Scratch to learn the basics of coding. In late December of 2020, I rediscovered Scratch and started using it on my old account. Then in March (or April I forget :P) of 2021, I created a new account called “Caticorn1_” and started making ASMR and animatics. It wasn’t until July that I actually shared my singing voice on Scratch, and I posted my first little EP that same month. So, yeah! Thank you all once again for your support. Thank you for making 2021 the happiest year of my life. Can’t wait to see what 2022 will bring!
