This is the second Squirrelflight reference I've done on this account, and probably the 15th design. This is the first one where I've given her freckles. I gave her white freckles and big eyes because I wanted her to very slightly resemble a deer. Mostly because deer don't seem threatening at first, and it can be easy to underestimate them, but have you ever been kicked by a deer?! Or have you been on the receiving end of those antlers?! I personally have not had such an encounter with a deer, and I don't know anyone that has, but it doesn't seem like a pleasant experience. If you refer back to my other ref, I have some details on my design process, and I'll say some of those here. I have once again decided to somewhat disregard the short legs, but she is pretty small. It's not really visible here, but if I put her next to Bramblestar you'd be able to see. I darkened her coloring from how I usually draw her if I'm just doodling or doing a random piece for no reason. I stand by my previous statement that she looks like Firestar but toned down and fluffier, so she doesn't look like a furry orange highlighter.
If u can't read the tiny words in the corner, I'd recommend going into full screen I had to write over all of the words because THE BACKGROUND GOT PIXELATED AND IM SO MAD!!!! I'm not.
