if you know me, you know that i've had various lapses of inactivity on this site in the approximate 6 and a half years i've been on it. lately, i've been no exception to this rule. and no, i'm not leaving. i've "left" this site too many times to count and it's always resulted in me coming back a few months later, so at this point i'm not even gonna try. my inactivity is partially because i can't find as much motivation to make things on scratch, and there are a fair amount of things that have been going on for me in real life lately... but another important reason is because scratch isn't the target audience for most of what i really post. case in point: some of you who know me on sites like toyhouse for instance probably know that i've published the first two episodes of the story i've been working on fairly recently. the first one is fairly tame (aside from some questionable moments) until the ending takes a rather sudden turn for the dramatic. the second one goes through quite a lot of changes in mood, but when it gets darker, it's usually pretty dark. the third one will definitely continue with this theme, and will even up the ante a bit. in general, it will/does contain some hard topics, violence, swearing, bad manners, etc which aren't exactly suitable for scratch's "all-ages" approach. as for what age group my story actually is for... i'd say it depends on the episode and one's emotional maturity, but generally i'd say it's for ages 14-15+. on this site, i do try to keep things relatively g-rated (maybe closer to pg in some cases, but still within the boundaries of what's appropriate for this website), so actually making projects about my characters shouldn't be a big problem even if the source material isn't as clean. my concern is, i don't want anyone assuming my story is as g-rated as my projects and going into it thinking "oh, a story about animals, this'll be a nice cute adventure!" - i have warnings in place for a reason, m'kay? that being said, i probably will start making projects that don't involve my characters (e.g. fanart for other existing franchises) again sometime, which won't have this issue... we'll see, though. that would require me to have motivation
