Hi! I hope your having a lovely day/evening! I’ve been busy lately with drawings, school, and waiting for exam results, so I wanted to share this drawing! The first one made me cry so hard, because it looks really simple, but it took a long time for me to figure it out- ;-; And I had to use many layers, and different effects, and it was harder then peeling an orange with your teeth. (Do not try this out - it’s not worth it) It then hit me - that I was struggling to draw because I had now gotten LAZY and I hate colouring my drawings. I never choose the right colour palettes, I’m changing my position all the time so I don’t get a bad posture (which may happen soon-) and the lines I draw lines being wonkier than the wonkiest thing anyone can think of- The second one was a redraw, and I’m kinda proud of it? The original was ugly, we can agree on that but it was my first digital drawing EVER. Looking back at this makes me realise how much I’ve improved with my drawing style, and I’m proud of my learning journey! However, I’m not proud of my attitude towards colouring in my drawings. I make a mountain out of a molehill (exaggerating over a something small) and it feels like it takes HOURS to colour in. My colouring is nothing compared to other anime drawings that put detail into each and every stroke. Like I said, I’m because lazier each time I start to draw. But this drawing was actually quite fun to draw. Really, really satisfying! I’m sorta proud of how it came out, but nine year old me should’ve have chosen a better colour palette!
