Space to change slides The Antonov An-225 Mriya (The Dream) was destroyed by the Russians in their invasion of Ukraine The Mriya was the largest airplane ever made, and my personal favorite that still flied. The Mriya was the only one in existence. It was the largest airplane ever made, powered by 6 turbofan engines, having a payload capacity of 250 tonnes either inside or on its back, a length of 276 feet, a wingspan 290 feet, and a max takeoff weight of 1.413 million pounds! The only one in existence is now destroyed by Russia in their dull-witted attempt to destroy the president on Ukraine, who is taking arms and fighting alongside his people for his country. Why Putin? Thankfully, talks have begun and Ukraine plans on rebuilding their Dream. They Mriya will come back, after 5 years and over 3 billion United States dollars worth of repairs.
