Hellooo Demigods!! This is Teresa Hawthorne from Cabin 6 announcing our very own Camp Half-Blood newspaper!!! This newspaper is called Greekly Weekly and will be written by yours truly and some others. Every Monday a paper will appear at the foot of each campers bed (or sleeping area if you prefer somewhere else/ your in the Hermes cabin with no room left and have to sleep on a sleeping bag). You can also buy them at the camp store if someone took yours, you lost it, or you need newspaper for something. Hope you guys find this informative, will be sending out papers soon!!! Things included in the paper- - Major events in the God/Demigod and mortal worlds - A gossip/advice column with couples, ships and other drama around camp and ways to help you get through things (courtesy of Cabin 10) - A camp events and birthday schedule - Interviews with different campers to see how they like camp - An ideas section where campers can write in their ideas for things at camp and return the paper to a mailbox outside Cabin 6 - A fun page with random facts, activities and puns each week - A cabin score chart with which cabins are winning in games, doing best with clean up and other things - A daily Oracle/Horoscope - General updates around camp - Says if any new campers came to camp or were claimed that past week - Special edition for holidays that tells different stories about the holidays from different campers and has a holiday story from around the world (for christmas, halloween, ect.) - Each week a cabin gets to add a page, starting with cabin one and working around till they are back at cabin one (some are skipped if there are no kids or if they aren't at camp then) the campers can do anything with this, ex. the Hermes cabin could give people prank ideas or the Apollo cabin could put a song on there, all up to the cabin members - For things like presidents day Teresa tries to get interviews with the actual presidents if they are in Elysium - For pride month the paper has a special page defining major things in lgbtq to help campers who don't understand and it highlights campers who are lgbtq and gets their coming out story, new one each week during the month - During black history month it highlights black campers and their stories (May add more, comment some ideas if you want) First Article: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/652708732/
(out of character here) HAI so i got this idea from a school project in which we wrote a newspaper article about something from a book (i chose the major last fight in percy jackson) and i realized that CHB doesn't have a newspaper!! Olympus does but not the camp and I thought it would only make sense that the camp would have one since they can't use electronics so here we are!! In story the newspaper would be published in greek so everyone in camp could actually read it without getting a headache but since I dont speak or know much greek im writing it in english and people can just pretend its in other languages (unless someone who speaks those languages actually wants to translate then that would be cool) but lmk if you guys have ideass!!
