There are only about 7,000 left in the world, meaning these are endangered. What makes them endangered? They are suffering from habitat loss, being caught in traps by Poachers and diseases. Painted dogs are from sub- suburban Africa. These dogs have very unique looks, brown eyes, pale gold pelt with black jaguar-style spots, and mouse-like ears with a german-shepard style frame. They are very social, have good family bonds, and take care of one another’s pups. Painted dogs are also known as Wild dogs. These dogs live in packs, consisting of 2-30, Having a female and male alpha pair. Painted dogs mostly eat small to medium-sized antelope . Rarely, they’ve been seen taking on wildebeest, eland, and buffalo.
