hello all <3 - - - welcome to my (jazz piano) jam session :P this is where I play a bunch of pieces and you press the green flag and listen! I've been working on my jazz/improv skills because of school jazz band things, and I think I've really improved a lot :) enjoy! - - - music featured: - "song for my father," originally recorded by the horace silver jazz quartet (I worked for hours on this because it was one of my jazz band solos :P) - "linus and lucy," originally recorded by the vince guaraldi trio (this piece is so nice) - "we don't talk about bruno" originally written by lin manuel miranda and recorded by the cast of encanto!, arrangement by me (this was fun to arrange and sing along to!) - "autumn leaves" (jazz piano arrangement) written originally by chet baker, and arranged by artist green tea (put this in to show you my sightreading process - as you can see, it's not the greatest haha) - "small town swing" chord progression originally by me (this is in the works, I'm writing a tenor sax solo for over the track that I currently have! If anyone is a tenor sax player who is interested in sheet music, let me know :D) - - - life update: I'm officially done with this school year, all the stress of finals and grades are no longer hanging over my shoulders! although it's now summer, I do have a slight cold (covid negative), so I've been taking it easy and focusing mostly on piano, reading, and learning spanish 3 on duolingo so I don't have to take it next year lol. I've been working on sightreading new music a lot and exercising my brain! I look forward to my feeling better so I can spend some time with my friends and family as well! I hope everyone is enjoying the end of their school years/beginning of their summers! see you next time ^^' - cello
