On RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg was the second female Supreme Court Justice, and the first Jewish female Justice as well. She lived from March 15, 1933 –September 18, 2020, and fought tirelessly for the women of the world and equality for everyone. After she passed away at the turn of the new school year, she left behind two children, a fairer America, and endless people looking up to her. Rest in peace, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. On this project: I'm an ambitious young Jewish girl with big dreams. Of all the role models out there, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is the one who I can closest relate to, and the one I want to be the most. And not just because I like to argue and that's pretty much the entire job of being a lawyer and all. I used to have this picture book called "I Dissent!" about Ruth, how she grew up with mom who wasn't afraid of her own opinions, how she lost herself in myths and books, how she sang louder than everyone else in music class. How she was one of the only girls in law school, how no one wanted to hire her, how she broke through endless barriers and ended up on the Supreme Court as a trailblazer for girls like me all over. That's the sort of person who I want to be. She may be gone, but the legacy she left behind isn't. So that's why she's the best.
