All my own writing! Don't steal please lol Introducing our three newest flavors of ice cream! 3 AM sky, Lonely Road, and Mist! These nostalgic flavors are bound to please your taste buds and give you a blast from the past! Allow me to lead you through each magical flavor. We begin with the flavor of 3 AM Sky, built of a beautiful blend of dark blues and grays as its base colors. This flavor will remind you of a cold summer night from your childhood, whether from a July camping trip or a night bundled in your bed with a single blanket over you. You had an eventful day filled with hard work; you ran through the dull green grass kicking a ball around with your bare feet. Your fingers were sticky and your tongue was dyed blue from the melty popsicle you chomped down in merely a few bites, your knees were scraped and your shorts were covered in green from falling in the grass one too many times. After much playing that left your chest heaving and your forehead sweating, you plopped down into a folding chair sat next to the firepit as the sun set behind you. Your legs ached and you could tell your shoulders would be sunburnt in the morning, but it was such a fun day that it was all worth it. You sit and eat s'mores as your face gets covered in marshmallow and melted chocolate. You see fireflies glimmering their blinking patterns throughout the open air and you hear the mosquitos buzzing around you as they nibble at your arms and face. The day comes to an end when the sun has fully set and the fire has peacefully left the wood beneath it. You make your way to your bed, flip your pillow to the cold side and lie down. You have one thin blanket across your body as it is too warm for more and too cold for none. The only light you have is the street lamp across from you, and you have no devices or books to distract you from the croaking frogs happily skipping in the pond; So you lie awake for hours on end, sitting and thinking while you stare at the ceiling. The pain of the ever growing sunburn and the itchiness of your bugbites keep you from falling asleep; so eventually you decide to get out of your bed to get some fresh air. The clock strikes 3 AM as you walk out onto the street alone, and you look up to find the most gorgeous, breathtaking sky you’ve ever seen. The stars are all out as they communicate with one another and the abyss behind them shifts from beautiful shades of black to blue to purple and repeats. You walk forward, neck craned to view the sky above you, and you soon find yourself standing in the middle of the street. And this is where our second flavor comes in! The flavor of Lonely Road will bring back memories in a more painful manner. The hints of mint indicate the fleeting feeling of being a child, and the fun that comes with it. The tough pieces of chocolate and brownie bits represent the cracked asphalt that you may walk on, but it will always hurt to run on. It brings you to the harsh reality that these memories of childhood are leaving, and they’re being washed away by the agonizing feeling of people leaving you. One moment you are by the fire surrounded by the people who love you, and the next you are standing alone on a lonely road, with nothing but your sunburnt shoulders. It is a painful but vital moment in your life to realize when your loved ones can’t fathom the idea of supporting you in something that means so much to you. You have to recognize at some point that you are so very alone; everyone is sometimes. But the difference is that you have felt and have been alone for most of your life. You’ve always felt the sinking feeling in your chest, but you felt comforted by holding the rope tossed down to you. Only once you realize the rope is fake will you truly begin to get better. Although it will hurt at first; it will feel like a cloud of haze covers you and your judgment and you can't see anything. This brings us to our final flavor. Ah yes, the flavor of Mist. It feels so dark and clouded and unprotected. This flavor will remind you of your rawest, most open moments; the taste of lime sits sourly on your tongue, making you reminisce on all the times you’ve broken down in front of others accidentally. It makes you feel as though you are being judged so harshly, but your mouth is glued shut. It indicates how it must feel to be so unable of communication, or how it feels to be forced into unwanted conversation. It is all up to the viewer to decide how they want to view you, as you are incapable of defending yourself in that moment. The gorgeous shifting sky begins to be covered by mist; it hurts to not see the only thing keeping you grounded but the mist feels nice on your bugbites and blistered skin. Perhaps this is the thing that will finally get you to sleep.
