it's been s o l o n g since i've made a project haha so this character is sort of like a manta ray but some of the spots are glowing (based of off glow-in-the-dark star stickers) here are the steps (in the order of how they're shown): ◦ finished piece and then to the actual steps: ◦ sketch (this looks a little off but it's fine i fixed it in the lineart) ◦ lineart ◦ flat colors ◦ shading ◦ more shading because it's nighttime ◦ highlights in the eyes ◦ glowing spots ◦ some lighting (it's very faint lol) (the glow reflecting off of the head and wings and stuff) ◦ ocean background ◦ moonlight streaks ◦ background sketch ◦ lineart ◦ flat colors ◦ shading ◦ lighting (some highlights) ◦ making the background more blue because nighttime (last step)
