Lucifer sent a spy because there were a lot of good cats ending up in he!!, Lucifer tried to reason with the ruler of Heaven but they refused to loosen the restrictions that were harshly enforced. Those who took her in tried to pay no attention to his name, tried to imagine he was not a warning. Azrael walked rings around the higher ups, manipulating them with her silver tongue and her almost real smile. While he was undercover, he met a small angel, appointed her wings before all the others for her dedication. Azrael felt herself head over heals for this cat, Cherub, and evidently she had fallen for him too. When Azrael had collected enough information, Lucifer took him back, commending him for his hard work with a pair of horns to accompany their wings. Before Lucifer could plan the attack, Azrael put in a request, they would bring Cherub to their side and make sure they weren't caught up in the fighting. Lucifer agreed, but his right hand, Cassiel argued against it, saying all the angels were corrupt, just like the king. Lucifer quickly silenced him, saying that the angels were only following orders, like he should be. When the fighting started, Azrael fought at the side of her king, unafraid to live up to her name. But he was merciful in the end, those who surrendered were left to run, those who didn't fought until their last breath. In the chaos, Azrael lost sight of Cherub, only finding Cassiel, standing over a little halo. Azrael knew immediately what Cassiel had done and flew into a fit of rage. Before she knew it, Cassiel was nothing but horns on the ground. Eventually, the fighting stopped and Azrael slipped the halo over her ear, vowing to never forget. Lucifer found her standing over the horns and was horrified. Azrael tried to explain but Lucifer wouldn't hear it. He banished Azrael to the ordinary world, where he is living out his days, with only the memories of what she once had.
