Here's a transcript of the project for everyone: Hello all! I normally don't do projects like this but I wanted to talk about something very popular in the WoF fandom: "Glorybringer". Glorybringer is a ship that developed in book 3. The ship is about Glory and Death-Bringer. The first time Glory and Death meet is (in the graphic novel, I don't knowwhen they meet in the actual novel) is page 86. Glory and the dragonets are about to meet Blaze when Glory sees a Nightwing, She transforms into her best impression of an IceWing to confront the Nightwing, as they are in IceWing territory. The NightWing ends up being Deathbringer. They talk briefly and Glory interrogates Death angerily.(I'm not going to read/type all of the quote, sorry) Death is very fl1rtatious towards Glory, which can be thought of in different ways by the reader. Either "He likes Glory" OR "That is just his personality." Later, Death meets Glory again and Glory rescues him in her true RainWing form and she brings him to the RainWing(RW) Kingdom. (Glory became Queen earlier on) and DeathBringer decided to become her bodyguard. He is always extremely "fl1rty"and "strange" towards her. Now, at this point you're probably wondering "Why isGloryBringer bad? You keep implying it is." It's "bad" because DeathBringeris 13 (Considered a full grown adult in dragon years) While Glory is 6, A child(Around a teenager in dragon years) and less than half his age, that's just gross. If you don't believe me, a formula I have created for picturing dragon age is multiply how many years they are stated to be then add 1. So that would make DeathBringer 27(adult) and Glory 13 (A teen) . Yes, I'm aware this formula isn't fool-proof and isn't canon. It is just something for younger dragons to use (obviously, dragons live up 100s of years so they don't keep maturing at one age, once they are fully developed middle aged adults they stop developing physically.) But formula or not, Deathbriner is twice as old as Glory-more than. Whenever the "ship" is read into in the books after it's just-creepy. (Look at all the scenes of them if you want, see how your opinion will change on how the characters interact) Before you say-"GloryBringer is canon! Tui wouldn't include it if it was so 'BaD'"(I can't use the word because of Scratch guidelines, of course), That's because it isn't canon. It is never stated in the books as a relationship. They can just be friends. You might (and probably still do) ship GloryBringer after this, which I don't mind. Ship and do whatever, just GloryBringer cannot be taken more than platonically because of the age-difference, (imo, obviously). Hopefully, some people take this information and share it after reading all this, have a nice day! ---------------------------------------------------------------- [Tags]:
