“I didn’t push him, he fell!” “Sure dude,” Connor said pushing past me to get a good look at John laying on the ground unconscious. “Geez David. Look at what the hell you did. Somebody check the kid’s pulse and if there isn’t one it was David,” Levi said standing over John’s limp body. Levi bent down and felt around for a pulse. It was minutes later and we were all freaking out Levi finally called out when he found it and Connor confirmed it. “We can’t get him medical help. Can we? His parents don’t know he’s here with us. Damn it,” Levi was mumbling. “So what are we going to do with him? Are we gonna leave him here? What if he dies or something crazy like that?” I say in concern. Levi starts punching out ideas a mile a minute, “So we could call 911 but we’d have to tell his parents. Or we could call one of our parents? Maybe Alex? Your parents are pretty chill, right? Um, or we could maybe try and help him ourselves? Let’s start by throwing some ice water on him. What if he ends up having a concussion though? We’ll need medical help anyways.” “I say we try the water and if that doesn’t work, we’ll figure it out I guess,” I say first. I immediately go to the nearest bathroom and find a bucket of cleaning supplies under the sink. I dump out all of the sprays and cleaners and fill it up with icy cold water. After it’s filled up to as much as I can wait and bring it back to the basement and we have John laid out in the tub there. I had checked for a bucket there prior but without luck, I rushed upstairs. I dump the bucket into his face and he bolts up coughing. Thank god.
They both include young people getting pushed and having a larger issue because of it. In mine, it was a friend that did it accidentally and in the other it was done by a neighbor. Both caused dramatic scenarios and that gave multiple people a lot of stress and problem solving that came along with it. Although both writing pieces have ways in which they're solved, they still show on character in hurt because of the situation and another in trouble for it.
