This part is @ScarletTheArtist's work: “Echo!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. The sound came back to me faintly, from all around. A little bit to the right, a little bit to the left. The sounds made my little self smile. “It’s cool, isn’t it?” Mom asked sweetly. I nodded multiple times, to make sure she knew. We both laughed. “Echo!” I repeated the word. Over and over again. It always came back from a different side, a different tone. It was so fascinating! I was about to open my mouth to scream once again, when- “UGH!” Emily screamed, snapping me out of my memory. She was staring down at her phone, clicking it aggressively. “What’s wrong?” I asked innocently, even though I was kind of annoyed. “Parsley keeps planning this big adventure, full of stuff that could easily get us killed! Why does she have to be that way?! I just want to have a relaxing week at our cottage!” She exclaimed. “Well… maybe you’re just scared!” I said, clearly mocking her. I didn’t want her to go into another one of her rants. This is my add on to it: "Scaredy Cat! Scaredy Cat!" I taunted. With the echo, my voice came back. "I'm not- ughh!" Emily screamed. I told myself that I would get in trouble for pushing Emily off the mountain. I told myself that many times. "Just block Parsley on your phone," Mom advised. "She won't be able to text you then." "That's a great idea!" I exclaimed. At the same time, Emily said, "Definitely not." "I'll do it for you," I tell her, my hand out to grab her phone. Emily shoved her phone in her back pocket, where she knew it would be hard for me to get. Still, I wanted to try. Grabbing my crutches, I took a step towards Emily. Oww. My left foot hurt. Emily took a step back, sticking out her tongue. I sighed, this was gonna be a long day. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Continuded in Notes&Credits~~~~
TIME SKIP I sat on the couch, reading a book, waiting. Emily was pacing back and forth, mumbling. "Is mom ever coming home?" I asked. I was getting tired of reading and I wanted to know. Emily looked at me, surprised. "Didn't I tell you? Mom has to work really long today- someone was out sick." No, I did not know that. "And-" Emily stopped. It was a quick, I need to shut up stop. "And?" I prompted, wanting to know. Emily bit her tongue. "I-Well" She tried to find the right words. "You're going bouldering with Parsley in me." If I didn't have crutches, I would have walked over to Emily and strangled her. "How am I supposed to do that? Does mom know?" I had a million questions, and I doubted that any were going to answered. "Um. . " That was all Emily said. "So mom doesn't know." "I wanted to give you a chance to be normal. And Parsley decided where we went, not me." Emily told me. "My brain is a long way from my foot." I told her. I wanted to act like what she said didn't bother me. I wanted to show her how strong I was. Emily huffed and shoved her hair out of her face. "Fine. Stay home alone." She took my crutches and started to walk up the stairs. "I'll be taking theese to my room." I wanted to get up and attack her, but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything without crutches.
