ScratchOS is a sprite and and block based OS Simulator. DISCONTINUED I am amazed, happy, and depressed. @44D3A7HQ is a genius. If I get smart enough, I will make a distro based on cyberportal 6. This project started in March 2022. (For the record) Screw it, 1.0 when I feel like it. This was more of a proof of concept and personal trial, so I'll make a better OS that I have thought a lot about.
The ' Name// ' part of sprite and costume names is from Scratch Addons, a very useful browser extension (addon: sprite folders). it makes editing so much better. I looked at multiple projects from the search 'Linux' on Scratch, they were useful. Most GUI elements were made with a combination of shapes from Google Slides, Scratch costume editor, and images from Google search, and edited with Google Slides, Image Background Remover (remove.bg/upload), and Scratch costume editor. Boot tune was made by me at: musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Song-Maker/song/5928394423795712. Looking at the terminal code of Scratch Linux by @nathaniel00012 was quite helpful.
