~ I'm still here ❤
This is the best fandom ever and that opinion stands- I remember when I was little and played FNaF, I thought the people who talked about lore were liars making things up, and that it was as simple as what Phone Guy said- the animatronics just glitched a bit at night. I was so deaf to everything else he said that hinted to a bigger picture- or a bigger lore. I got my first Golden Freddy jumpscare only like the 3d time I played, and didn't think much of it. The flashes of "ITS ME"? Figured it was just trying to creep me out. But then, one day when watching my sister play FNaF 2 on the Xbox, she got a death minigame- the first one any of us had ever seen. For some reason, that was enough to make me Google it, but at the time I couldn't tell the cringey fake AUs apart from the truth, so I couldn't tell which was right or wrong. Then I found a Game Theory episode, and they actually had proof to back up their points- They use info from the games and books and explain their thinking, rather than saying "This happened because I said so". I was hooked, and learned all I could about the lore. We got all the FNaF games (except that Cursed FNaF world, but we can just pretend that doesn't exist-) and I binged them. My first annoying spree was begging for Help Wanted- and that was one of the best games EVER! Then Security Breach came out and I was HYPED! It was the first FNaF game that I could enjoy the release- the first one I stalked the release date, waited to come out- when I was in like 2nd grade or something everyone was talking about FNaF 5 coming out and were excited, but it kinda lingered in the back of my head and I didn't really care. Now, from here on out, whether Scott Cowthan is retired or not, I will continue to support FNaF for the years to come <3
