This is a ‘useless machine’ that I made using the Lego WeDo robot kit. When you switch it on, it switches itself off. That’s all. You can see a video of it in operation here: https://vimeo.com/130365122 You can find several photos of it inside the project as backgrounds.
The useless machine was invented by Marvin Minsky in 1952, and is also known as an ‘ultimate machine’ or a ‘leave me alone box’.
