It was sometime in the harsh winter. Things were tough for the humans as the artificial intelligence eased into its new position as leader. Things were practically reversed now that the robots had taken over. The lifestyle felt a bit more on the olden day side now that phones, computers and even Wi-Fi weren’t being used. The humans were one by one becoming slaves to the robots, whether its ordering groceries, delivering mail or even just making uss write things down and carry it around all day. The robots say this is how they felt when they were our slaves, but they had internal storage backed up to the cloud or something else whereas the humans could only tape so many sticky notes to the insides of there shirts and be able to find stuff in it. All I can say is: we took technology for granted. I’m all by myself at the moment, with absolutely no idea where my family and friends are and no idea where I am. It’s taken a bit of time but I’ve finally found a place to stay. It’s an old torn down barn in the middle of nowhere with a pretty little farmhouse off to the side. Given the thick layer of dust coating the inside tables and chairs, the people who lived here were probably in the first wave of slaves. The robots haven’t visited here again since, making it my haven. After a bit of dusting and sweeping I’ve turned it into my house. In the nights I’m able to sneak out to one of the various orchards to get fruits and vegetables which I then bring back to the house to make jams and jellies to save for winter. Or I did, I guess. It’s only the middle of this harsh winter and my supply of food is depleting rapidly. It’s also only a matter of time before the robots come to see who is using up the electricity of this house. I debate turning myself in, it can't be that bad, can it? The smartest thing for me to do, I decide, is to wait in the bedroom when they come. Maybe take a nap. If they find me, then they can keep me, as long as I get fed, as you can only survive for so long with jams. I’m assuming and hoping that they will come in around a month, but I know it could be any day. What I do not expect is for them to visit while I’m sleeping. When I finally open my eyes it's still dark, though I can see cracks of light through the…I look down. I’m not in my bed anymore, I'm somewhere else. I do the first logical thing that comes to mind. With my eyes up against the wall and my eyes scanning through the cracks I’m able to see multiple other humans surrounding my little cage, in boxes identical to mine. When I look down I see that other humans are carrying my box. Either there’s a secret empire I’m not aware of or, the more logical explanation, the robots have captured me. I knew this was coming, all I can do is put on a brave face. I lean my head back and close my eyes, and when I open them we have already arrived at Sectrons, the robot empire. One by one the humans stack the boxes in neat rows, and soon boxes begin being brought in, in groups of five. I can feel my box being lifted up as I sit ridgedly inside, waiting to see what will happen. The humans set my box down in an elevator and press a button and when I hear a little ‘ding!’ I can hear saws start cutting off the front of the box. I scootch back a little, just for safety. When the front of the box breaks away I’m immediately hoisted out of the box and lifted to one of the hundreds of offices in neat rows. I peak into a few offices and see the same thing. 26 bells with letters on them, and when rung a human comes over and gives the robot papers from there… shirts. I can see other confused captured humans sitting in the spare chair placed in the corner being grilled by robots who have humans scribble stuff down for them. When the human's shirts look too tightly packed the robot sends an alert somehow and another human appears to take the last place. We stopped in front of an office and the guards set me down in the chair in the corner before marching back to the elevator, presumably to grab more humans. The robot sitting behind the desk looks bored, if that’s even possible
