Please do not take this as a sign you want to raise ants. They are not as easy to take care of as this game seems. I am also not acting as if this is an accurate representation of ant behavior in the wild. The nest is inaccurate, but it was to get all the important things in. This game is inspired by ant colonies and the youtube channels that feature them. Click the queen for her to lay an egg, and click the egg pile hatch an egg. Food comes eight times a day. Every night, all your ants will eat. If you run out of food, it's game over. The queen will lay eggs, and the eggs will hatch, over time. Clicking them "rushes" them. You cannot rush the gatherer. When the queen lays an egg, she eats five leaves. Each ant will eat five leaves at night, except the queen. Every minute in real life is an hour in game. After 11 1/2 minutes, day or night will pass. Sunset/Sunrise lasts 30 seconds.
Some of the ant youtubes that inspired this are: "Lights Camera Ants", who posts more "action shots" of his ants to his youtube. I have currently seen only some of his youtube shorts. "Ants Canada", who made me want to own an ant farm despite disliking ants. He loves these ants so much. You may have heard him from the "never speak bad about my man antscanda again" meme, where he isolates an ant as humanely as possible. It's actually an incredibly educational video!
